R. N. Tendai Richards

R. N. Tendai Richards is a Principal in Winne Banta’s Litigation Department. He has a broad-based practice that involves complex commercial matters in the federal and state courts of New Jersey, as well as cases involving real estate, employment issues, contract interpretation and disputes regarding varying interpretations and implementations, discrimination, matrimonial matters, trusts and estates, corporate dissolution, insurance, intellectual property and franchise practices issues. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of contexts and forums, including state and federal courts, and arbitration and mediation settings.  Additionally, Tendai has extensive experience representing condominium associations and their boards in a broad range of litigation and non-litigation related matters.

Tendai is actively involved in several local charities and organizations. Tendai is also the co-author of an annual article summarizing advancements and alterations of the law of New Jersey and the Third Circuit relating to employment libel law. During law school, he actively worked to revive public interest efforts at the Duke University School of Law, including co-authoring the Public Interest Group charter, bylaws and scholarship program. Tendai has received various scholarships for outstanding academic achievements and for his work in the public interest arena, including the Martin Luther King Scholarship.

Tendai is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the Bergen County Bar Association.
