Samuel Rhee

Samuel W. Rhee is an Associate in the firm’s Real Estate, Land Use, Planning & Zoning and Environmental Law practice, having joined Winne Banta in 2025. His practice focuses on commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, representing developers, investors, property owners, and business entities in transactions involving office buildings, retail shopping centers, hotels, industrial properties, and mixed-use developments.

Samuel’s experience includes managing complex hotel acquisitions involving coordination with government agencies, multi-million dollar retail shopping center transactions, and multi-tenant office building purchases requiring negotiation of numerous lease assignments and coordination with institutional lenders. He handles commercial lease negotiations and manages comprehensive due diligence reviews addressing title, survey, environmental, and regulatory compliance matters. His practice includes construction lending and commercial financing transactions, including CEMA refinancing structures that provide tax advantages for New York properties.

Prior to joining Winne Banta, Samuel was an Associate Attorney at a prominent Bergen County law firm, where he managed commercial real estate transactions, business acquisitions, and financing matters. His practice included drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and commercial leases, resolving complex title and environmental issues, and representing clients before government agencies.

Samuel is fluent in Korean, enabling him to serve clients with cross-border investment interests and represent Korean investors and businesses in U.S. commercial real estate transactions. While in law school, Samuel served as an intern to Magistrate Judge Diana Harris-Epps at the D.C. Superior Court and worked at the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office.
