Thomas J. Cangialosi, Jr.

Tom Cangialosi joined Winne Banta in 1989 and has been a principal with the firm since 1992. He has over 25 years’ experience as lender’s counsel in drafting and negotiating all forms of commercial loan documentation for New Jersey, New York and multi-state transactions, including acquisition, and construction loans, permanent loans, asset based and monitored credit facilities, tax-exempt loans, capital market transactions, syndication and participation agreements and work out transactions. Tom also represents lenders in connection with the financing of solar energy projects and has experience with regulations and government incentive programs for these projects.

Tom has served as counsel for leading national and regional lending institutions, including Bank of America, Sterling National Bank, TD Bank, Lakeland Bank and Wells Fargo, and was a member of Bank of America’s Partnership Alliance and Capital One Bank’s Chairman’s Club.

Tom also represents developers and clients in the acquisition, development and disposition of properties, including residential subdivisions, shopping centers, single and multi-tenanted warehouses and industrial properties, apartment buildings, office buildings, self-storage facilities and owner-occupied properties. His work has included the preparation of disclosure documentation, including private placement memoranda for various real estate funds, and other real estate ventures, and the preparation of public offering statements and related documentation for condominium projects.

Tom is a member of the New Jersey and New York State Bar Associations and the Bergen County Bar Association. He was named on the list of New Jersey Super Lawyers in 2020.  He also received an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
